Another Week End !!! Annamalai once more !!!

Another Week end .
Spent time on watching three movies, one beautiful novel, and songs songs and more songs
One movie on the release day.(after a long time).
But why i did so i wondered later...such a bad mov(i)e.
It got compensated by the next two movies.
Especially the last one, Annamalai, one of my all time favourite.

For many people, second-half of picture with full of action is what more prefered as they their (my) super star Rajni in full action.
But for me personally first half is the best.
So many situations to bring out his innocence and he did that to his perfection.
Wondered at time if Rajni is being wasted by so-called IMAGE and directors not doing justice to his abundant acting skills, after this movie.

If there is anybody who could make me more joyful when am down to the core, its only two people now. one is RAJNI.

Having known every bit of dialogues in this movie, it was more enjoyable to watch his lightning speed mannerisms and style of dialogue deliveries.

By the way when is the next telecast of this movie again ? :-)

Paarthiban Kanavu

I just wondered why i missed such a good work from a such a great author, for such a long time.
This novel is amazingly written considering the time in which it is written. (late 1940s).
Throughout the novel Kalki brings out the "desire of freedom" is the most important thing in front of everything.
And since this is the time of our independence reaching its climax, we can imagine the effect this would have had.

The beautiful scenaries of Chozha dynasty could not have been better described.
Every reader would have felt as if he is there in these feast-of-the-eyes places around Uraiyur,Trichi,Mamallapuram etc.
Especially as i had spent my early childhood and schooling in these scenic beautiful places, it took me there after a long time.i thoroughly enjoyed this.
To base a novel on a historic backdrop, what you need to do to make it to the perfection ?
Just read this novel.
This novel became more ever-lasting, with a beautiful love-tale as the background.
I wish desparately that i could spend some good amount of time in a house like Ponnan & Valli lives.

Kalki is simply the best with his choice of words, ways of describing scenaries, bringing out twists...much more.
Its only time for me now to read my all time favourite ' Ponniyin Selvan '.

Thanneer Thesam

Excellent work by Vairamuthu !!!
He thoroughly showed his class throughout. A very different approach to story telling mingled with some amazing facts.Irony strikes when there is aplenty of water around but still six people struggling for a single drop of it to drink and survive.
Just remembered these lines...
Water Water everywhere , not a single drop to drink.. !!!
So much of authority and class Vairamuthu had shown in this particular work.
Full of facts about water, ocean, few hits on indian politics, pathetic conditions of fishermen, the perspections goes on...
And all these in the backdrop of an excellent love-story...nothing more to ask for.

By naming the heroine as 'Tamil' he made use to the maximum , the usage of the most sweetest word in this language.

Felt really good to read such a good work.

What next ???
Could b possibly ' Digital Fortress-Dan Brown ' or ' Ponniyin Selvan-Kalki ' (the longest awaited).

After a break !!!

Am back after a short break.
really pressed with so much of work.

But more or less i end up wasting time here and there and things gets delayed.
Need to be managing the time more effectively.

Will keep blogging atleast every alternate days.

Finished reading Master of the Game by Sheldon.
Another good one.But his standard is not maintained throughout the novel.
Some place felt kind of bored.
But it got compensated in the last 100 odd pages as it went it jet speed.

Now moved onto reading 'Thaneer Thesam' by vairamuthu.
Amazing supremacy he has got over Tamil language.
Choice of words, and single word conveying more than one meaning at the same line...
more i read, more am amazed....

Total comments reserved till i complete it.

Got "The monk who sold is Ferrari" and Digital Fortress (Dan Brown) today.

Will take on this once thaneer thesam is done.
(hopefully before my exams at April :-) ... )

Gotta leave now... to temple ... vvssshhkkk
